Same Old Con Artist/Same Old Conclusions

Same Old Con Artist/Same Old Conclusions

Now that the elections are over and it looks like the smoke has cleared, nothing could be further from the truth. Those people who decided that this election was no big deal and therefore did not vote on 11/4/14, only perpetuated the general consensus that there was nothing more to fight for. From the very beginning there were those in the Republican Party that never had any intentions of doing anything that would forward our nation. McConnell is directly quoted saying "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president"  There was never any thought of what was best for this country. In these most difficult economic times, when we the people should be able to depend on our issues being working on and possibly resolved by congress, they have been on a personal vindictive manhunt for our President. He (McConnell) also stated at that same time “Republicans had a plan to take back the government” Take back the government from who is the question. Thanks to us… (The people) they have been successful in their plight. In 2010 they won back the House, in 2014 they were able to win back the Senate and in their final blow they have 2016 in focus to win back the White House. Those in the positions that were effective used one of the oldest tricks in the book, and why change any of the tricks if they still work. The crux of the plan is the same routine used by terrorist around the world, divide and conquer. Once the Republicans took the legislative process and held it hostage, they refused to pass anything. Whether that thing was helpful to the people (they were sent to represent) such as health care, minimum wage increases, economic developments, infrastructure improvements or foreign policy, nothing ever had a chance of resolution.

Those Republicans in the Senate used obstruction tactics in regards to legislation no matter what the issue or solution was and stayed focused on causing Americans to become frustrated and dissatisfied with government. This allowed them to get the constant word out that the government is broken and they are the only ones to “fix” it, but only if they were given control of the Senate. These types of bullying tactics have been running prevalent since the inception of the United States. Instead of representing the people who sent them to Congress and to the House of Representatives they became a gang within a party, against the people. They said that the British colonials were wrong, but they adapted their policies and then broke away and declared its independence against them. They said that the Indians land was useless, but then they took it over by force, pillaged its resources and parceled it out among themselves. They said that African Americans were whole people but were torn as to whether or not to count them in the constitution. Counting them as whole person would mean that the state that had the most enslaved people would therefor have more representation in how the government was run. Counting them as less would mean they were alive but not dealt with except by those who owned them. Either way, regardless of how many, it was impossible to have so many enslaved humans without representation but yet..it occurred (and still does) At the time enslaved people made up about 1/5th of the entire population. During this time in 12 of the first 16 presidential elections, a Southern Slave owner was elected. Fast forward to 2014 and they are still at it-Never did Republicans admit that they were the reason Washington was “broken.” Instead, they blamed the people who were trying to get things done. Republicans blamed Sen. Harry Reid and President Obama.

The GOP ran a con on the American people. They created the problem then promised to solve it. Unfortunately, this scam proved true once again, Republicans are now two-thirds of the way towards their focused goal of taking the government back. Back to the ways of low income being the only income, back to the ways of lobbying for profit and kickbacks for services that should be afforded every American. They were the ones who created the gridlock in Washington and of course can be the only ones to lift that gridlock as well. Now the Democrats have the reverse position of playing defense. They can now point out the non-action from the Republicans. They can now watch and wait as those who are in positions of authority today, may not be come 2016. They won’t have President Obama to blame anymore. They will only have themselves and the Hoods they hang on the door as they close their offices and reflect on how history will judge them and their actions during this momentous period of time. Given these factors, it will surprise no one if the Senate confidence men and women meet their 2016 demise at the hands of their own con.
